Paper Street View

Paper Street View was something I made for my PhD. It was designed as a social activity for older people living with dementia in care environments. Given the emotional connection many older residents had to particular places in their lives, the aim was to create an activity that allowed them to actively explore and share their experiences of the local area. In response to my work with older people with dementia, I wanted to advocate more active kinds of interaction that could be shared between residents and staff and in service of everyone getting to know each other better, by sitting in a relaxed way around an actual paper map.
